The combination of Chinese Star Ayi Jihu and Top Native designer Angela DeMontigny turned many heads when it was first announced several months ago. The Young Native line by Angela DeMontigny is set to feature styles and designs with a native flavor and eventually an Asian Twist.

Chinese Star Ayi Jihu arrives in Canada
China’s first international Lady of R&B and global Philanthropist Ayi Jihu has landed in Toronto Canada for the first time as she set of on a goodwill tour of Toronto that will see her perform several shows and speaking engagements in the world famous city.
Ayi will be staying at the one of the worlds finest boutique establishments ‘The Windsor Arms hotel‘ in the Yorkville area of Toronto. The famous Windsor Arms hotel is the home to many stars staying in Toronto and Richard Burton famously proposed to Elizabeth Taylor here.
On a cold, rainy and windy day in Toronto Ayi Jihu brightened up the day as she wowed the patrons of the hotel with her arrival. Ayi will be appearing at an exclusive event at City Club 296 Richmond St West, Toronto ON, in the city. She is going to be performing at the launch of the A Celebration of Women Foundation inc and is supposed to be doing a surprise appearance at around midnight. The Firemen of Toronto will Also be doing a bit of a show there and Ayi Is looking forward to meeting the ‘Buff’ Firemen of Toronto. Tickets are almost sold out to this event which will see some of the cities most prominent women, businessmen and names come together to celebrate the launch of the foundation that dedicates itself to helping and promoting women all over the world. Speaking to Star News Ayi Jihu said ‘I’m very excited about being here. I just can’t wait to discover Toronto and meet the people. Driving here to the Windsor Arms I went through China Town and it was amazing, much bigger than China Town in London and to be honest it looks better too. I’m going to make sure i get out there soon and check it out, meet the people and get a feel for the place. I will be letting everyone know about everything I see and do while I am here.
Speaking about the hotel Ayi said ‘It’s amazing, the detail and feel of the place is fantastic and my room is wonderful. I will be checking it out fully over the next few days and letting you all know more about it. Many of my fans around the world like to know about where I stay and what it is like so I always try to get the information out to them, especially those in China looking for great things to see and places to go when they are thinking of travelling.
We asked Ayi what she will be doing in Canada? ‘I have a busy schedule and it seems to be getting more all the time, but anyone who knows me, knows I love to work. I have several speaking engagements talking to kids and several performances including tonight at the City Club in Toronto. I am also going to be doing a lot of photography and video work in the city and this great hotel. I’m hoping to get a moment to myself too, just to relax. Ayi Links up with the star of ‘Born to Dance’ Laurieann Gibson
Ayi Jihu is hoping to work with Choreographer supreme Laurieann Gibson as she puts together her show for America in 2012. Laurieann Gibson who is the star of Born to Dance on BET and The Dance Scene on E！ was introduced to Ayi Jihu at the Bishop Noel Jones Church and the two hit it off right away.
Ayi who is a huge fan of Laurieann Gibson said: “I just hope we can get her, because she is so busy, she does everyone Ga Ga, I mean everyone, she is the best. I watch her shows all the time and I was a bit afraid of her because she is so tough on those shows. If we work together I know I’m gonna have to be at my best, but I want the best and I am not afraid of hard work.”

Chinese Star Ayi Jihu is working hard ahead of her TV and film roles to build a great team in the USA. Ayi who has such teams in Europe and Asia already explains it’s has now become part of her life working with great professionals all over the world.
Ayi visited top hair stylist Michael Sean to speak with him about his ideas and was impressed by him.
Michael is a real cool guy and he got me right away. Every woman knows how we feel about our hair. In Europe I have Sharon and Louise from Mackin scissors. They have taken care of my hair for years and have seen me safely through many style changes. I would not let anyone else touch my hair really. Now I’m in the US i need to find someone else to take care of it as they cannot travel with me. At some stage I may have to get just one person to travel with me everywhere, but for now I have teams in place in my main territories. I’m hoping to find the best here for me in LA.

Ayi was accompanied by one of her new dancers Lindsy Bedell. Lindsy is one of the first dancers chosen in the US for Ayi’s forthcoming US and China Live tour. Speaking about Lindsy Ayi said “Lindsy is cool, and she can really break it down. I have held a few private auditions with several dancers and Lindsy is the best so far. I still need a few more and we shall be holding bigger auditions in the following weeks.”

Chinese Crossover Star Ayi Jihu has landed a part on a new American Comedy Drama called Flyy Girl. Show Producer Arthur Wylie is staying tight lipped about the role Ayi will play, but it is said to be a significant one.
Shooting will begin in November 2011. We are hoping to speak to Ayi Jihu about her role in Flyy Girl soon.

Chinese Star Ayi Jihu visits Black Aids institute and meets with Phil Wilson
Ayi Jihu continues her PR and Business tour of Hollywood and America ahead of her TV shows there with a visit to see Phil Wilson head of the Black Aids Institute. Ayi Jihu First met with Phil Wilson at the Robi Reed Red Carpet event which raises money for the Black Aids institute.
Ayi Jihu who is well known for her humanitarian and charity work was moved by Phil Wilsons speech at the Robi Reed event and wanted to meet with him and see what she could do to highlight his cause.
Ayi Jihu along with members of her team, Stevie Eagle E, James Womack, and Amado Salinas met with Phil Wilson to discuss ways Ayi Jihu could help the Black Aids institute spread its message of early testing. Which would save thousands of lives.
The Black population in America suffers from a high percentage of Aids deaths simply because of the lack of testing. Raising awareness to this simple process is key to bring this figure down and saving lives.

9/11 Ayi Jihu and the Bishop Noel Jones
On the anniversary of 9/11 Ayi Jihu spent time within the packed City of Refuge Church in LA. She was invited by the world famous Bishop Noel Jones to his service.
Bishop Noel Jones is the brother of singer Grace Jones and preaches all over the world. His city of Refuge church is also home to many Hollywood Celebrities.
Ayi Jihu Attended the service with James Womack, Stevie Eagle E, Amado Salinas and Linda Pratt.
Ayi Jihu described Bishop Noel Jones as ‘an amazing man’ and said that she would be a regular at his Church when in LA.
